New review: Night Must Fall

Ready for a tale of yet another nutcase inveigling their way into the home of an elderly innocent? Well, whether you are or not, here IS another one, and it’s a fairly impressive addition to the list. Starring Albert Finney, Susan Hampshire and Sheila Hancock, Night Must Fall is a cut above the usual fayre.

And if you’re thinking “surely this one’s been on the site before?”, well, thereby hangs a tale.

It MAY have done, I’m not entirely sure. A review was certainly written during the early days (20-very-odd years ago!), but whether I actually published it is now a matter lost in the mists of time. Put it this way, it never appeared on THIS version of the website.

So, no-one was more surprised than me when I found the old review on a back-up hard drive and did a quick check. Turns out Night Must Fall did fall, somewhere down the back of the BHF sofa.

So, one quick re-write later and here it is, in all its monochrome glory.

You can read the review here.
